Memoriam

DUNCANVILLE | James Burtis Sullivan, age 73, of Duncanville, died Feb. 7, 2015, at home. Services will be 1 .m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Yancy Windham and Pastor Mike Perrigin officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Church Cemetery in Gordo with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Beatrice Sullivan; son, Kevin Sullivan; brothers, Rayford and E.T. Sullivan; and sister, Clara Bell Sullivan.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean Sullivan; daughters, Faye Reed (Mike), Peggy Pate (Randy), Rosemary Porter (Jamie), Vicki Abawi (Ziad), Mary Ann Duncan (Jamie), and Robin Bibby (Bo); sons, Buddy Smith (Karen), Paul Bibby (Tina), Eddie Sullivan, Keith Driver, Dewayne Driver; sisters, Elizabeth Lee (Pete), Jimmie Nell Lee (Clint), Janice Sullivan, Jean Parrish (Lynn), and Cindy Dockery (Bobby); brothers, Roger Sullivan, Randall Sullivan (Diane), Joe Sullivan (Pat), Gary Sullivan (Cindy), Terry Sullivan (Nina), and John Sullivan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are co-workers of JR Shows Masonry Co.

Honorary pallbearers are JR Shows and co-workers, John Thetford, Wilber Manderson, Mark O'Bryant, Price McGiffert, Dennis Woods, Mrs. Betty Duncan, Patricia Parson, 6th North Nursing staff at DCH, Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, and Mrs. Jennifer Walker.
