NORTHPORT | Don O. Holt, age 81, of Northport, died October 2, 2015, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Jerry Skinner officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015, in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Vivian, La. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Monday, October 5, 2015, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Clara Holt and brother, Edward Charles.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Ann Holt; daughters, Donna Wise, Lisa Campbell (Greg) and Karen Potter (Dale); step-daughter, Stephanie Aultman; sons, Gary Holt and Mark Holt (Kristy); step-son, Marc Sherrill (Annette); sister, Linda Moorehead (James); and grandchildren, Marty Keene, Leslie Walker, Anthony Wise, James Potter, Aubree Holt, Corbin Holt, Connor Aultman, Collin Sherrill, Libby Sherrill, Camryn Sherrill, Copeland Sherrill, Marlee Sherrill and Bailey Sherrill.
Music was a passion of Don's starting in his early adult years and continued until his death. From local venues to national recordings, Don has made many friends through his music who remained a vital part of his life.
Pallbearers will be Don's seven grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are all of Don's music family and Dr. and Mrs. Debell.
