Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Jimmy Wayne Whitsell, 69, of Grenada, are at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sparta Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at National Funeral Home.

Mr. Whitsell died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at UMMC in Grenada.

He was born on November 30, 1945 and was the son of the late Sam George Whitsell and Clemmie Dell Welch Whitsell of Sarah, MS.

Mr. Whitsell was employed by Heatcraft as a inspector. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. He was also a Marine serving during Vietnam and a member of the VFW.

Mr. Whitsell is survived by 3 daughters, Melita Ann Little (Fonda) of Grenada, Michelle R. Shelton (Marlon) of Grenada and Miranda Moore of Florida; 4 sons, Michael Whitsell (Tina) of Holcomb, Matthew Whitsell (Candy) of French Camp, Myron Whitsell (Jennifer) of Scobey and McKenzie Whitsell (Nichole) of Grenada; 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Bro Marlon Shelton will be officiating the services.
