Memoriam

BUHL | Allen \"\"Jed\"\" Pate, age 67, of Buhl, Alabama, died April 4, 2015, at his home. A memorial service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 1 p.m. at with Rev. Vaughn Burroughs and Bro. David Howell officiating with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; parents, Julius C. Pate, Roberta Pate Cargile, and Willie \"\"Doc\"\" Cargile; sister, Frances; and brothers J.C., Orville and Wayne.

Survivors include a wife of 48 years Mary Nell Clardy Pate; sons Tony Allen Scottie Pate (Kim); Michael Wayne Pate (Lisa) and Richard Shane Pate; grandchildren Corey Allen Pate, Dougg Holdan Pate, Mary Alexa Pate, William Scott Pate, and great granddaughter Sophia Pate.

Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will truly be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and retired from BF Goodrich after 28 years of service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Channell, Harry Rowland, Chip Rowland, Johnny Clardy, David Snow, James and Carol Beck, Sarah Farley, Fred and Alice Fulton, Ann Skelton, friends at Columbus Fairgrounds Auction and friends and neighbors in the Buhl community.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Legion, DAV or Masons.
