Christine Norris Estes, age 87, of Northport, died June 19, 2015. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Jerry Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Estes; grandson, Christopher Taylor Adam Lee; parents, Basil and Trannie Norris; brothers, Billy, Railford Buddy Junior Zack; and sisters, Marqurite, Estella, Faye and Omie Lee.
Survivors include her daughter, Reta Sansom (Joe); sons, George Norris of Northport, James Estes (Jodie) of Texas, and Bill Estes (Susan) of Gordo; sister, Carolyn Taylor; grandchildren, Pam McAdams, Kim Falls, Ron Estes, Jason Estes, Christy Wright, Libby Hankie, Chris Sansom, Teddy Ray Tollie, Kanda Graves, Tim Tollie and Scott Taylor; and many great-grandchildren.
Christine was a long time resident of the Samantha community. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Estes, Chris Sansom, Nick Taylor, Doug Collins, Jamie Skelton, Ron Estes, Benji Mitchell and Matt Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Gaylon, RN, Randy Howard, RN, Miranda Chaney, RN, Dr. Hemstreet, Dr. Presley, Dr. Reddy, Dr. Azam, Dr. Sunil Chandra, Dr. Ramdeen, Dr. Chidella, Joanna Bundrum, CRNP, Jeremy Kelley, CRNP, Dr. Fred Graham, and residents of Presbyterian Apartments.
