MOUNDVILLE | Irene Davis Woods, age 83, of Moundville, died Jan. 2, 2015 at home. Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Akron, Ala. with Preacher Ray Sullivan Jr. officiating, and Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Sidney Davis, and five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Hebert Woods; daughters Alice Tucker (Don), Judy Rivers, and Kecia Hardaway, all of Moundville; brother, Newman Davis of Sawyerville; grandchildren, Stacy Garcia, Michelle McAnally, Jeff Cobb, Ken Barnes, and Tora, Chris, Breanna, and Jayleigh Hardaway; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Donaldson, Tucker Clemente`, and Jordan McAnally.
Pallbearers will be Ken Barnes, Don Tucker, Tucker Clemente`, Angie Tucker, Ray Sullivan Sr., Ken Shows, and Clifford Daniels.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. David Harding, Denise Nichols, friends of Moundville, and AlaCare Hospice employees, Connie, Sissy, Kathryn, Christy, and Vanessa.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to AlaCare Hospice.
