Memoriam

NORTHPORT | Sarah Chism Miller, age 91, of Northport, died November 17, 2015, at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Northport First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Spivey and Rev. Jerry Croft officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson City Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the Fellowship Hall at Northport First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Orville L. Miller; sisters, Magdalene “Jean” Brown, Elenor Lee and Sue Prewitt; and brother, Retired Major Fred L. Chism.
Survivors include her two daughters, Donna Peters Harrison (Lewis) and Deborah Lowther (Ron); one son, Craig Miller; sister, Mildred Morrison; brothers, Ben A. Chism and Walter “Doug” Chism; and grandchildren, Douglas Bennight (Jerri), Pamela Howard (Dr. Paul), Michael Hall (Courtney) and Jason Hall (Dr. Courtney).
Pallbearers will be Doug Bennight, Michael Hall, Jason Hall, Ron Brown, Paul Howard and Bobby Rosenberg.
Honorary pallbearers are Bessie Croom, Dorothy Kline, Gigi Hawkins and J. S. Peterson Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Northport First United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice.
