Memoriam

Thelma McGee, age 89, of Northport, died June 5, 2015, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. John Nixon, Rev. John Jenkins and Rev. Mark McGee officiating. . Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation was Saturday at Magnolia Chapel North.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ingram McGee Jr.; mother, Bertha Norwood McGee; twin sister, Delma; and brothers, Joseph Walter McGee and Davis Norwood McGee.
She is survived by a brother, Bryant L. McGee; nephews, Bryant L. McGee Jr. (Alicia) and Rev. Mark P. McGee (Connie); niece, Melissa Roberts (Chris); great-niece, Amber McGee, great-nephews, Mack McGee (Meghan), Alex McGee (Jenn), Brook McGee, and James Roberts; and great-great-nephew, Holden McGee.
Thelma was born June 22, 1925, in Lavaca, Alabama. She was a venerable woman of strong faith, and love for her family and her church, Northport Baptist.
Pallbearers will be Chris Roberts, James Roberts, Brook McGee, Jimmy Glover, Glenn Crow, and Lucien Lewis.
Honorary pallbearers are the administration and staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home and the Faith Sunday School Class.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Northport Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of West Alabama.
The family is grateful for the loving support of her church family, the staff at Forest Manor Nursing Home, and the staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
