Andrew “Andy” M. Daresta, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in a local hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he received a Bronze Star, Air Medal, Purple Heart and Rifle Expert commendations. He was member of the 11th Armored Calvary’s Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. He was also involved in being a mentor for people in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Winifred Keil Daresta.
He is survived by his two children, James “Jimmy” A. Daresta of Cleveland, TN and Christopher K. Daresta of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Eddie and Sydney Daresta, both of Knoxville and brothers, Frank, Stephen, Bob and Jim Daresta.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
