Memoriam

Jewell K. Everett, 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 in a local hospital. She was a member at Waterville Baptist Church. She was employed as one of the first police officers in the city of Cleveland and also served as a substitute teacher in the Cleveland City and Bradley County School systems.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Everett; her daughter, Judy K. Pierce and her grandchildren, Colon Wilson, Samantha Bates and Tommy Waters.

She is survived by her children, Larry Rector and wife, Deana, Bill Rector and wife, Donna, Richard Rector and wife, Joan and Kenneth Rector and wife, Brenda, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Billie Wilson, Dustin Rector, Howard Brooks Pierce and Bailey Rector; great-grandchildren, Serenity Waters, Christopher Murphy, Johnny Murphy, Tina Murphy, Savannah Bates and Sarah Bates and son-in-law, Donald L. Pierce.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Waterville Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
