COKER | Raymond Charles Watson, age 80, of Coker, died September 28, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tindle and Rev. Terrell Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Henry and Lucy Watson; wife, Dorothy Wedgeworth Watson; brothers, Aaron, Ollie, Argie and Willie C.; sisters, Bennie Phillips Vaudie Oswalt, Ora Lee Herring and Gertie Boswell.
Survivors include his four sons, Gary Watson (Valynda); Courtney McIntosh (Brian); and Kendall Watson; Ronald Watson (Sherrie); Tamara Summers; Steven Watson; Justin, Dara and Desta Watson; and Bryan Watson (Tina); CeCelia and Cade Presley; brother, Wyman Watson (Judy); sisters, Vista Montgomery and Billie Faye Freeman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Sullivan, Mike Kosloff, Alan Kofman, Paul Sturdivant, Argean Champion, friends and neighbors of Mt. Olive and Phillips Chapel communities, former employees of Bryce Hospital Unit #2 and BF Goodrich employees, past and present.
