Graveside services for Robert Joseph Screws, 74, of Holcomb, are at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Holcomb Cemetery.

Mr. Screws died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home.

He was born on March 21, 1941 and was the son of the late Robert Claire Screws and Josie Belle Screws of Spanish Fort, MS.

Mr. Screws was retired from U. S. Army Special Forces after serving 20 years. He was a member of Holcomb Methodist Church .

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce George Screws of Holcomb; 1 daughter, Rebecca Berg of St. Louis, MO; 4 grandchildren, Merry Ann Mitchell of Memphis, TN, Amanda Mitchell of St. Louis, MO, Thomas Mitchell of Williamsburg, KS and Lauren Ashley Murphy of Athens, GA; 1 brother, Eldon Screws of Baton Rouge, LA; .

Mr. Screws was preceded in death by 1 son, Joseph Darren Screws and 3 brothers, Ray Screws, Jerry Screws, and Jim Screws.
