Memoriam

Funeral services for Dannie Goodson Smith, 65, of Eads, Tennessee, are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elliott Baptist Church Cemetery at Elliott.

Visitation is Monday, February 23rd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home Chapel.

Dannie died Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home.

She was born on October 10, 1949 and was the daughter of R.L. Goodson and Alma Sue Barbee Goodson of Big Creek, Mississippi.

Dannie was employed by AT&T as a communications consultant for 30+ years. She was a member of the Hickory Withe Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Dannie was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, David Goodson.

She is survived by her husband, Earnest Smith of Eads, Tennessee; two sons, Tommy Williams (Japhia) of Gore Springs and Joe Williams (Allison) of Gore Springs; two sisters, Nancy Boyd of Holly Springs and Ramona Fondren of Elliott; and two granddaughters, Sadie Rose Williams and Lily Beth Williams.
