Funeral services for Virginia Sue Windham Dogan, 76, of Grenada, are at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dogan went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS under the care of Hospice Ministries.
She was born on February 25, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Vernon Otho Windham and Ida Lee Blakely Windham of Leflore, MS.
Mrs. Dogan graduated from Binford High School in Duck Hill and later took some courses in accounting at Holmes Community College. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Dogan was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was a wonderful wife and mother. She played the piano and loved family get togethers. She was the best mother ever, constantly chasing her two children and four grandchildren, yet always smiling.
She is survived by her two children, Tina Burns (Patrick) of Duck Hill and Jeff Dogan of Grenada; 1 sister, Barbara Windham Nail (Lamar) of Clinton, MS; 3 brothers, Dudley Windham (Bertha) of Grenada, Bill Windham (Ethel) of Southaven and James Windham of Grenada; 4 grandchildren, Timothy Bennett, Dylan Bennett, Blake Bennett, and Katie Burns and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dogan was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dogan; her parents; 1 sister, Azileen Rayburn; 2 brothers, Vernon Windham and Paul Windham.
Dr. Charles Nail will be officiating the service with Greg Windham
National Funeral Home is in charge of professional services.
