TUSCALOOSA | Alice Thomas Tilley, age 74, of Tuscaloosa, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2015 in the presence of family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South at 2 p.m., Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Spain and Rev. Jackie Adcox officiating. Burial will follow the service at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Wilner Thomas; dear daughter, Teresa; and three siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Rev. Douglas Tilley; sons, Mark (Rachel) and Luke; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tilley was born in Tuscaloosa on June 4, 1941. She was an accomplished pianist and vocalist and member of the National and State Music Teachers Association.
She was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus and was always helping the poor. Mrs. Tilley served Eastside FWB Church with her husband. She is dearly loved and will always be missed.
Pallbearers will be James Thomas, Larry Norris, David Hartley, Chris Shippen, John Thomas and Bill Thomas.
