Memoriam

Echola | Anniece Sexton Skelton, age 79, of Echola, died Monday July 27, 2015, at DCH Medical Center. Services will be 11 am Friday July 31, 2015, at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Dan Turman and Brother Tony Latham officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Audie Sexton, husband John W. Skelton Sr., son John W. Skelton Jr. (Steve), grandsons Adam, Andrew and Josh Skelton, sister Billie C. Golden.

Survivors include her daughter Teresa A. (Kenneth) Stephens of Gordo, sons Jimmy W. (Sherry) Skelton of Tuscaloosa, Joel G. (Carol) Skelton of Northport and Bucky Skelton of Echola, sisters Sue J. (Buford) Miller of Northport and Johnnie C. (Preston) Malone of Northport, grandchildren Kelly, Jamie, Jennifer, Katie, Benjamin, Travis and Thomas.

Anniece loved her children, grandkids and great grand kids, she told Logan, Kyla and Ben she loved them as wide and deep as the ocean was on Friday. She loved God and her church.

Pallbearers will be Travis Skelton, Jamie Stephens, Thomas Skelton, Ben Stephens, Nathan Wilson, Glen Wilburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Haven nursing home and staff, Dr. John Summerford and staff, nursing staff of 6 North DCH Regional Medical Center, Friends of Echola Community
