Memoriam

Terry Lang Griffith, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Beechtree Manor. He was retired from the post office and a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in Vietnam and received two purple hearts. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the VFW, where he served as past president and a member of the American Legion. He was of Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Clark Griffith; son, Terry Lang Griffith, Jr.; parents, Clyde and Ada Collette Griffith; brothers, Tommy, Bill and Travis Griffith and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Delay.

He is survived by his children, Christy Critchfield and husband, Jim of Cleveland and Debra Bates and husband, Chris of Benton; grandchildren, Jamey Critchfield and fiancé, Sabrina Dickson, Cole and Will Critchfield, all of Cleveland and Emily and Danielle Bates of Benton; sister, Freda Hysinger and husband, Jerry of Cleveland and sisters-in-law, Frances and Betty Griffith, both of Cleveland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held at later date in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The members of the 58 Boat Dock Bass Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorial be made to, Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 684, Cleveland, TN 37364
