Funeral services for Wilburn Ray Carroll, 72, of Grenada, are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada . Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery .
Visitation is Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
Ray died Monday, February 16, 2105 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital North Ms in Oxford.
He was born on April 18, 1942 and was the son of the late Henry Grady Carroll and Bonnie Lynn Carpenter Carroll of Carroll County, MS.
Ray was owner and operator of Ray Carroll Auto and Truck Sales . He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grenada. He was also a member of the Biscuit Pit Coffee Club. He also served in the National Guard for 13 years as a helicopter pilot.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Judy Wilson Carroll of Grenada; 1 daughter, Amy Carroll Denley (Greg) of Grenada; 1 son, Ramie Carroll of Grenada; 3 grandchildren, Gunner Hudspeth, Carley Hudspeth, and Sam Denley.
Bro.’s Larry Windham and Gladwin Carpenter will officiate the services with Mark Wilson, Drew Wilson, Brooks Wilson, Clay Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Paul Wilson, Jr., Lane Bennett and John Salley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Smith, Terry Smith, Greg Henson, Mike Franklin and Bobby Bell.
National Funeral Home is in charge.
