Robert “Bob” Earthman Moon, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired civil engineer for the state of Tennessee after 35 years of service. He was raised in a Baptist Children’s Home in Franklin, TN. He loved to study the civil war and also enjoyed reading.
Mr. Moon was the son of the late Earnest Moon and Katie Bugg Moon and was also preceded in death by his son, Scottie Foster.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Wilma Jean Richardson Moon of Cleveland; five children: Wesley Foster and wife, Teresa Foster of Mile City, Montana, Debbie Walden and husband Jerry Walden of Benton, TN, Gysa Coleman and husband, Clifton of Englewood, TN, Chanche Foster and wife, Renee Foster of Ringgold, GA, and Terry Foster and wife, Brandie Foster of Statesville, NC; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
The family will conducted services at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the New Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Waymond Cooper and Reverend Darren Fansler officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Danny Works, Mike Cline, Wesley Bryant, Randy Hickey, Ben Cline and Roy Floyd serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the New Liberty Baptist Church.
