Memoriam

FOSTERS | William ""Jerry"" Glover, age 71, of Fosters, died November 29, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Grants Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Griffin and Rev. Don Springer officiating. Burial will follow in Grants Creek Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state a half hour prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Glover; mother, Frances Glover; and brothers, Jack Glover and Travis Glover.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Linda D. Glover; daughter, Beverly J. Mullins (Paul); sisters, Brenda Lynn (Charles) and Linda Baird; mother-in-law, Betty J. Miller; and grandchildren, Forrest M. Mullins and Sid D. Mullins. He also leaves several nieces, Dana Lynn, Cathy Lynn and Connie Baird and one nephew, John Thomas Baird.
Jerry was a Godly man who loved his family and spending time with special friends. He was a lifelong member of Grants Creek Baptist Church which he loved and cherished dearly. He was an avid golfer who continued to play even through his illness.
Pallbearers will be Foster Abernathy, Tommy Gregory, Frank Burns, Mike Porter, J.D. Beck and Bob Crane.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. George Miller and staff, Hospice of West Alabama, Joe and Janet Burroughs, friends and family of Fosters and Ralph Community, Grants Creek Baptist Church family, Ronnie and Bebe Jan Lett, employees of Tuscaloosa Library Bindery, Old Colony Senior Golfers and The Tuscaloosa Country Club Senior Golfers, Tommy and Joan Wood and Bob and Joyce Mullins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the youth and children's ministries of Grants Creek Baptist Church, 13396 Grants Creek Road, Fosters, AL 35463.
