Memoriam

Funeral services for Martha “Jean” Prather Covington 77, of Grenada, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at National Funeral Home.

Mrs. Covington died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital- North MS in Oxford, MS.

She was born on July 12, 1937 and was the daughter of the late William Oswalt Prather and Bessie Jaunita Butts Prather of Grenada, MS.

Mrs. Covington was employed by the State of MS, Human Resources Division in Child Development. She was a was a member of First United Methodist Church of Grenada.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Kaye Cockroft of Clinton, MS; 1 son, Chris Covington of Grenada, MS and 1 sister, Glenda Jones of Tempe, AZ.

Bro Tim Potter will officiate the services.
