Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Robert “Bob“ McCaffrey, 84, of Grenada, are at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at National Funeral Home.

Bob died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his home in the Elliott Community.

He was born on November 1, 1930 and was the son of the late John McCaffrey and Marie Schmidt McCaffrey of Oak Park, IL.

Bob was a retired police officer for the city of Chicago and of the Catholic faith. He was also a veteran serving in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. McCaffrey is survived by 4 daughters, Debra DiNello (John) of Chicago, IL, Alice Dempsey of Decatur, AL, Kam C. Staten (Greg) and Tonya Kelly (Reed) all of Grenada, MS; 2 sons, Steve McCaffrey (Tracy) and Bruce McCaffrey (Debbie) all of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren..

Bro. Fletcher Moorman will officiate the celebration of life services.
