Funeral services for Gladys Allgood Burchfield, 88, of McCarley, MS, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Doty Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.

Visitation is Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at National Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burchfield died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Greenwood.

She was born on August 22, 1927 in Attala County and was the daughter of the late Henry Allgood and Earline Ford Allgood.

Mrs. Burchfield was a homemaker. She was a member of McCarley Baptist Church.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Kathy McCorkle of Robinsonville, MS; 1 son, Wayne Burchfield of Munford, TN; 1 brother, Jerry Allgood of Robinsonville, MS; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Burchfield was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Burchfield; her parents; 1 sister, Audrey Ryals; 1 brother, Clifford Allgood.
