Jacqueline “Jackie” Geren, 87, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home. She was a member of Prospect Church of God. She enjoyed fishing and camping and she loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Gaston and Elizabeth Carland Gaston; daughter, Patricia Ann West and siblings, Estelle Cartwright, Evelyn Murray, “Bill” Owenby and Wilber Gaston.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Eugene Geren of Georgetown; children, Linda Martin and husband, Edwin, Rebecca Cooper and Vickie Thompson, all of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Enloe West and wife, Melgena of Georgetown, Kimberly Cox of Chattanooga, Samantha Hicks and husband, Andrew of Cleveland and Matt Graham and wife Ashley of Chattanooga and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the funeral home.
