Memoriam

Mike Lewis, 61, of Cleveland passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at his residence.

He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. He was employed as a Warehouse Associate at Eaton Hydraulics. He loved boxing and was a Golden Glove Boxer who trained many children in boxing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Lopez Lewis; mother Frankie Combs Harris; step-father, Bud Harris; and sister, Sharon Nelson.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Geraldine Underwood Lewis of Cleveland; four children, Kim Waters and husband Gary of Cleveland, Greg Harness of Chattanooga, Leah Kyle and husband Scott of Cleveland, and Missy Long of Evergreen, NC; five grand children, Tyler Waters, Calab Kyle, Michael Posey, Hunter Posey, all of Cleveland; and Dustin Long of Evergreen, NC; one sister, Florence Beavers and husband Richard of Birchwood; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend William Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood with Adam Sutton, Jeff Yarber, Caleb Watson, Jerry Denton, Chris Stringer, and James “Tooter” Cheatham serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the funeral home.
