NORTHPORT | Eddy Dwain Alexander, age 59, of Northport, died November 17, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Larry Holemon officiating. Burial will follow at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery in Samantha, Ala. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Jeremy Gordon Alexander and Matthew Alexander and grandparents, Floyd and Zelma Handley and Gordon and Nina Lou Alexander.
Survivors include his special friend, Marilyn House; daughter, Dee McGraw Hickey; sons, Kyle Alexander (Jessica), Nathan Alexander and Ryan McGraw; sisters, Susan Alexander, Cathy Tittle (Ronald) and Lawanya Gray (Todd); brother, Brian Alexander; parents, Charlotte Handley Jones (D.L.) and Adrian Alexander (Janice); grandchildren, Alyssa Harris and William Alexander; and nieces and nephews, Jed Joiner, Parker Christian, Connor Christian, Amanda Tittle, Brittney Gray, Blake Gray and Brylin Gray.
Pallbearers will be Terry Elmore, Ronald Tittle, Whitfield Lunceford, Johnny Alexander, Jeff Fondren and D.E. Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Dubay and staff at the Manderson Cancer Center, Northside High School Senior Class of 1974, Cathy Elmore and friends in the Samantha Community.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Campground Methodist Church, 20530 Highway 43 North, Northport, AL 35475.
